Coaching idea - coach exchange of ideas session
From Sally Bartlett - 30th June 2010 - email: sally@skibartlett.com
An opportunity has arisen to continue on some of the momentum created
from the regional coaches conference earlier in the summer...
I have two highly qualified and respected Austrian coaches, Hans Jenewein
and Georg Messner (see their details below), coming over to the UK, to take
some training sessions at Hemel snow centre. They have offered to take a
'coach exchange of ideas session'.
Coaches CV's:-
Hans Jenewein:
- Tirolian Ski
Federation Trainer
- Physical Trainer of
Tirolian Ski Federation
- Planning & Administration Director of
International Ski Academy
Stams.
Georg
Messner:
- Physical Trainer
of Tirolian Ski Federation
- Tirolian Ski Federation
Trainer
- Runs and owns the Snowsport
Georg Messner Ski School
At the Regional Coaches conference, everyone was keen for an on snow
session. Hans and Georg have a very busy schedule while they are here, but
would be available to take a race coaching evening:
Venue: Hemel Snow Centre.
Date: Evening of Thursday 22nd July.
Participants:
All interested race
coaches.
Aim: To exchange Austrian
ideas and ways to coach, with UK ideas.
Cost: ??????
- Snow
Centre need £25/person for slope fees - for a session of up to 4 hours
- Hans
and Georg would need to get paid! - some of this could hopefully come from
participants, but to keep the cost down and encourage coaches to attend would
LSERSA/ERSA/SRSA etc. be interested in donating some money??)
Hopefully an idea brainstorming session like this will help to
re-juvenate coaches ideas and current procedures for coaching. (And maybe we
can give some ideas back to Austria!!)
Please let me know what you think as soon as possible, as I need to book
a time slot with Hemel and Hans and Georg. If you feel it is a good idea,
hopefully between us we can forward the details onto coaches who may be
interested.
Sally
