RIDE FREESPORT FILM FESTIVAL 2010 - Tuesday 19th October, Prince Charles Cinema
The 5th Ride Freesport Film Festival, in association with Ski Club of Great Britain, takes place on Tuesday 19th October at the Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square, London. The event kick starts the winter season for the UK ski market and has grown significantly since the 2006 launch. This year 6 short ski movies are being shown. British Freeskier, Pat Sharples, a film maker himself, will be presenting on the night over 75 minutes of freeride and freestyle film action in the following line up:

All these screenings are to showcase the talent in British freeskiing and the cameramen, editors and crew that put their heart and soul into getting the perfect shots. The short films will be judged by Phil Streather, founder of PLF (www.plf.cc ) and an IMAX movie producer, Chris Carr, founder of Brain (www.brain.uk.net) Creative Concepts and Production, Rob Tucker, founder One Six productions and Nuview (www.nuview.tv) and Felix Milns, renowned ski industry journalist and tv producer. WHEN: Tuesday 19th October, 8.30pm - 10.30pm
HOW: Get to the cinema between 8.30pm and 8.40pm to pick up wristbands and pay on the door. Tickets cost Ł5 and include seating at the Prince Charles Cinema, entry to the after party + 1 free drink on arrival at the Langley (www.thelangley.co.uk) in Covent Garden from 10.00pm until 1am.

There are limited numbers of tickets and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. To reserve and confirm your ticket requirements please email your list of names attending to filmfestival@ridefreesport.com.

URBAN RIDE 2010 - UK Qualification Tour for the London Ride
The Urban Ride 2010, presented by Snow + Rock, is taking place across the UK from the 12th to the 17th October at the following venues:
Tamworth Snow Dome Tuesday 12th October 7-10pm
Ski Rossendale Wednesday 13th October 7-9pm
SNO!zone Milton Keynes Thursday 14th October 7-9pm
Chill Factore Manchester Friday 15th October 7-10pm (SOLD OUT)
SNO!zone Castleford Sunday 17th October 10am-12pm

With the combo of incredible riding and amazing venues, the Urban Ride 2010 will be a sell out event once again and give 5 riders the chance to compete at the televised London Ride 2010 on the 23rd October. Get to the venues and show the judges what you've got. On most of the nights you'll be able to get coaching and improve your freestyle skiing on the Pat Sharples Salomon Grom Camps. Please note that slope fees for the Urban Ride will apply at each venue. If you wish to book onto the Grom Camps please do so through their website.

LONDON RIDE 2010 - 23rd October at the Ski + Snowboard Show 2010
Ride Freesport is once again proud to announce the 7th edition of the London Ride event series. The London Ride 2010 (www.thelondonride.com), presented by Snow + Rock and Switzerland Tourism, will take place at the Kensington Olympia on Saturday 23rd October and will be run in association with and as part of the Ski + Snowboard Show 2010. Athletes from across the globe will compete in the Big Air event and show the London crowds the latest tricks on the freestyle ski scene.

Qualification rounds will take place at the show from 2pm - 3pm and the finals will run from 4pm - 5pm. You'll get to see the top British riders go head to head with some of Europe's best athletes. All the action will be filmed for International TV distribution and a 24 minute TV broadcast is scheduled for release just after the event.
