The Chair

Here we are again into the dry slope season. This kicked off with a great day at the Bromley Qualifier, which was well supported by the Region. Our first regional, also held at Bromley, saw a large number of new racers excelling themselves. Hillingdon was next with yet again a good turn out of racers. Well done. B.M.

The Safety Officer

With the new ruling of children born 1989 and younger now having to wear helmets we mustn't let it stop children racing as we have as a Region purchased 20 helmets for you to borrow free of charge on race days.
It's great to see more of the older racers wearing head protection lately as they are powerful influential role models for the youngsters.
We could also run a swap shop as I'm sure I'm not the only one with ski gear clogging up our living space, Perhaps a bring and buy on race days? Any suggestions contact me on 0181 541 0398 C.D

The Equipment Officer

Great benefit for the Region would be gained by having a reliable portable timing system which by nature is very expensive. Therefore we propose to raise money via raffle tickets. Donations of raffle prizes, and also direct donations to a timing fund. We have as a region some money for this, but it falls short of the required amount. Your input would be greatly appreciated by all as hold ups due to timing failure means delays resulting in you going home later. The timing equipment can also be used on training camps. C.D.
