These are in reverse chronological order of event. At the end is a list of
Regional Skiers in National Squads together with links to
their FIS pages where appropriate.

8 July -
Ed Drake has been selected for
the 2004/2005 British Land Alpine Junior Ski Team.
He is also a member of the England 'A' Team for 2004/05.

The English Alpine Ski Championships -
11-16 April in Puy St. Vincent, France

- Ed Drake was first Briton in the Super-G.
- Helena Bray was third English Girl in the Giant Slalom.
- Ed Drake was first Briton in the Giant Slalom.
- Alessia Thomas-Jackson, Charlotte Jesse and Emily Evans were first, second and third in the First Minis Giant Slalom, with two other LSERSA skiers also in the top six.
- Thomas Kirton won the First Minis Giant Slalom Boys' race.
- Jemima Barnes was second British Girl in the Slalom.
- Ed Drake was first Briton (and second overall) in the Slalom, thus confiming him as undisputed Overall English Champion.
- Peter Bruton was second in the Children Slalom.
- Alessia Thomas-Jackson won the second (Championship) Minis Giant Slalom.
- Thomas Kirton won the equivalent Boys' race.

The British Junior & Children's Ski Championships -
4-9 April in Meribel, France

- Luke Laidlaw was 3rd in the Children 1 category (4th overall) in the first Children's Slalom.
- Amanda Alldridge was 1st Children 1 (1st overall) and Alexandra Emerton was
1st Children 2 (2nd overall) in the first Children's Giant Slalom.
- Aaron Tipping was 1st Children 2 (2nd overall) in the first Children's Giant Slalom.
- Amanda Alldridge was 3rd Children 1 (3rd overall) in the second Children's Giant Slalom.
- Aaron Tipping was 1st Children 2 (3rd overall) and Peter Bruton was 2nd Children 2 (4th overall) in the second Children's Giant Slalom.
- Alexandra Emerton was 3rd Children 2 (3rd overall) in the Children's Super-G.
- Aaron Tipping was 1st Children 2 (1st overall) in the Children's Super-G.
- Alessia Thomas-Jackson won the Mini Giant Slalom.
- Giulia Harte won the Micro Mini Giant Slalom.
- Daniel Poth won the Micro Mini Giant Slalom.
- Jean White was 3rd Briton (9th overall) in the Junior Giant Slalom. Helena Bray was first placed Briton in the Junior 1 category with Rebecca O'Neill third.
- Louise Thomas was first placed Briton in the Junior 1 category of the Slalom with Rebecca O'Neill second.
- Marc Telling came second Briton (3rd overall) in the Junior Slalom.
- Alessia Thomas-Jackson won the second Mini Giant Slalom
with Emily Evans in second place.
- Giulia Harte won the second Micro Mini Giant Slalom following her success in the first race.

Scottish FIS Senior Championships - 4/5 April in Meribel, France
- Jean White came first and Louise Thomas second in the Giant Slalom
- Jo Greig won the Slalom and
Ed Drake came third (and first Briton) in the equivalent Male race.

Jo Greig won the Super G on Wednesday

Jo Greig was fourth overall but second Briton in the Giant Slalom on Thursday
- Ed Drake, still a Junior and not full time on the snow, finished 3rd Briton (4th Overall) in the Slalom on Friday. He thus retained his titles from last year, Combined Champion under 18 (Downhill and Slalom) and 1st in the Slalom under 18.
- Jo Greig rounded off a good week by winning the Slalom and collecting second place in the Women's overall championship.

Jo Greig skied to third place in the French National Slalom Championships
in La Carroz/Flaine on Sunday 21st March.
- This followed her second and fourth places in FIS Slalom races in Feldberg, Germany, on 13/14 March.

- Inter School Ski Challenge at Les Houches (France) - 11/12 March
- Aaron Tipping came 2nd in the Giant Slalom
- Alessia Thomas-Jackson won both races in the Mini category..
- Charlotte Jesse came 3rd in the Mini Slalom, having come 4th in the Mini Giant Slalom the day before - this was her first experience of racing on snow.

World Junior Championships

Ed Drake was selected to go to the
World Junior Championships
held
in Mariborsko Pohorje, Slovenia, from 8th to 16th Feb.
After a week of training and time trials at the British Olympic Ski
centre in Lofar, Ed, the youngest athelete there, was one of four to
qualify for the slalom and go to the Junior World Championships. He
transfered to Mariborsko Pohorje on the 12th February. The
Slalom was at night on the 14th. Unfortunately he failed to finish the first run, like about half of those who started.

Chemmy Alcott continued her successful World Cup season in Haus im Ennstal
- with a 22nd and 28th in the two Downhills on 30th & 31st Jan and 33rd in the Super G on 1st Feb.

Success for LSERSA at British Schoolgirls Races in Flaine on 26th Jan.
- In the Junior Slalom, Louise Thomas was 1st with Jean White
2nd and Erica White 3rd. Hariet Adams was 3rd in the CH1 Slalom.
- In the Junior Giant Slalom Jean White was 2nd with Louise Thomas
3rd. Hariet Adams was 2nd in the CH1 Giant Slalom.
- Millfield were overall team winners with Sandown Park (SPSRC) second - this was also the result of the team parallel slalom event. Surbiton High were the second placed British School team.

Success for LSERSA at British Schoolboys International Races in Wengen on 26th Jan.
- Peter Whelan was 1st and Joe Ogden 2nd in the CH2 Slalom.
- Alex Dow was 2nd in the J2 Giant Slalom and Peter Whelan was 1st in the CH2 Giant Slalom.
- Wycombe were 2nd placed

Chemmy Alcott
produced the best result by a British woman for more than
30 years when she finished 9th in the World Cup downhill at Cortina d'Ampezzo in
Italy on Sunday 18th January.
At only 21 years old she is one of the youngest
competitors on the downhill circuit.

BARSC Championships - Alpbach, Austria 28th December - 2nd January
- There was great success for many LSERSA skiers at the BARSC Championships. Here are the podium finishers.
Marc Telling came first overall in the Junior Slalom, with James Bennett third (second Briton) and
Ed Drake fourth (third Briton).
Ed Drake came second in the Junior Giant Slalom.
Peter Whelan came second in the first Children 2 Giant Slalom and
Aaron Tipping came third in the second Children 2 Giant Slalom.
Peter Whelan came third in both the first and second Children 2 Slaloms and Frankie Simonds came third in the second Children 2 Slalom.
Luke Laidlaw came second in the first Children 1 Slalom.
Alessia Thomas-Jackson came first and Stephanie Espinosa came second in the first Mini Giant Slalom.
Peter Whelan came first and
Aaron Tipping came second in the third Children 2 Giant Slalom.
Harriet Adams came second in the third Children 1 Giant Slalom.
Aaron Tipping came first in the fourth Children 2 Giant Slalom.
Alessia Thomas-Jackson came second in the second Mini Giant Slalom and
Thomas Kirton came first in the equivalent boy's race.

Great success for Chemmy Alcott in World Cup in Lake Louise on 5th, 6th & 7th Dec.
- She came 11th in the Super G, having come
22nd in the first Downhill and
a repeat 22nd in the second Downhill of the weekend. See the

- This continues her successful start to the season which began with her 25th place in the
GS World Cup at Soelden on 25th Oct.
