This was a special day - in addition to the usual sponsors, Ski Bartlett, Snow & Rock, etc, the Valle d'Aosta (Aosta Valley, Italy) tourist board are
provided some special prizes and surprizes, and there was a BBQ with a difference,
and Ed Drake presented the prizes.
Special racer's raffle
Every entered racer was given a ticket to a raffle for which the
Aosta Valley tourist board and
interski
provided a holiday in the Aosta Valley as the prize.
Each racer got a ticket
each time they entered a race - so if you entered all 5 races you got 5 chances of winning a prize.
The winner was: Daniel Symons
The Aosta Valley lies in the very northwestern corner of Italy, surrounded by some of the highest peaks in the Alps including Monte Bianco, the Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa. The Aosta Valley is a winter sports mecca, with the famous resorts of Courmayeur, Cervinia, Pila and Gressoney sitting alongside many undiscovered gems. Access is very easy with Geneva, Turin and Milan airports all lying within 2 hours, and Calais less than 10 hours drive.
Aosta offers excellent value for money with accommodation and meal prices significantly lower than equivalent resorts in other alpine countries. With a great mix of hotel and apartment accommodation, easy access, good snow record and great value, Aosta is the perfect base for a family holiday or a club training week.

LSERSA Summer Race Series Format - The first page
is an overview and the two subsequent pages provide more details.
Note that Racers will need to say at bib collection
whether they will be entering the team dual slalom or not. It is very important that racers let race control know if they
change their mind for whatever reason. Just not turning up causes real problems and spoils it for other racers.

Individual Slalom Events
Since we are running an inter-club competition it is important that a racer's club and age group is specified
correctly. Please check these, and generally for other errors such as spelling mistakes, and
notify Alan Sandell
if a change is required. Thank you.
