Information for Schools
-
Are you a teacher? Are you interested in skiing? Are you interested in how competitive skiing can
improve your pupils' skiing?
-
- ESSkiA (English Schools' Ski Association) aims to encourage skiing as a sport within schools,
and wants to encourage as many students as possible to enjoy it at home and abroad. Each year
they hold a series of Regional Qualifiers and the
English Schools Championships, leading to selection for the British Schools Championships. See the
ESSkiA web site for details. Note that
schools from the LSERSA region compete in several different ESSkiA
regional qualifiers.
-
- Each year LSERSA runs the Kent Schools Championship Races on behalf of RAKS(s) (Race Association of Kent Schools (Skiing)) and
revived the Surrey Schools Championship races in 2010.
The benefit of these events over ESSkiA is that they are open to non member schools, including Primary Schools, thus making it more inclusive.
