Sport England is the government agency responsible for building the foundations of sporting success in England.
They
recognise 46 sports in the country, working with their National
Governing Bodies (NGBs) to develop that sport. Snowsport
England (SSE) being one of these 46 National Governing Bodies.
Sport England has stated from this review that:
'Snowsport
England is a small but capable governing body. Its focused investment
at a small number of facilities and clubs in England is a sensible
approach given its limited capacity. Snowsport England has launched ‘Go
Ski Go Board’ as its main programme to increase participation, initially
at focus facilities and then across the whole of England. As a result,
Snowsport England can be confident of having an impact on participation
within England.'
SSE
are pleased with this statement and believe that it leaves us in a
positive position as we enter into the new funding application process.
You can read the Sport England statements on the other
NGBs here Sport England Website.
The work we are doing needs your support and there are two ways you can do this.
The
2012 Satisfaction Survey is opening shortly and we need you to fill it
in about your experiences while taking part in snowsports.
The
Active People Survey is a phone survey and measures how many
people are taking part in sport. We are measured by the number that say
Snowsports - So if you get a phone call about a sporting
questionnaire please answer it and say snowsports as your
sport. |
