This page has all sorts of information about training available for skiers and officials.   This is in addition to the the regular training given by the various ski clubs in the region.

Upcoming training courses and camps

SkiFocus's BASI Training
Coaching by BASI Level 4 ISTDs and Snowsport Scotland APCs
 
Alpine BASI preparation, Eurotest and Test Technique training
During November & December: 4 weeks BASI preparation, Eurotest and Test Technique training in Tignes, France.
January – April: 1 week per month of BASI preparation training courses in Tignes.
Train for any duration from 1 week to 8 weeks, be prepared for your up and coming instructor exams.
Fast track for ski racers: If you hold a BASI Alpine Level 2 and you pass the Test Technique (Timed Slalom) you can teach skiing in France. Ski Focus and BASS have collaborated with 333, an International Ski School in Tignes, to offer to all successful candidates a unique opportunity to teach skiing this winter.
 
UK BASI preparation
May – November: Numerous BASI preparation days at a number of Snow Facilities in the UK, Hemel Snow Centre, Snozone Castleford and Snozone Milton Keynes.

Ambition Race Camps - Summer 2013
This year Ambition Racing are, in conjunction with Atomic, holding three Race Camps during the summer.

Special Training - Friday 19th April
Emily and Charlotte Evans will be holding a special training evening at Bromley from 6.30pm until 8pm on Friday 19th April. It is a fantastic opportunity to get ready for the summer race season.
The cost of the training session is £20.00. Please let Emily Evans or Keith Evans know if you wish to attend.
 
LSERSA Training days
Training days have been arranged before the LSERSA races at Aldershot, Brentwood and Bromley. They will be from 1pm to 5pm on the Saturdays prior to the Aldershot and Brentwood races. The Bromley training session will be on the Friday evening 19th July from 6pm. These are LSERSA training sessions. Cost is £20.00 for the two hour session at Bromley and £35.00 each for the four hour sessions at Aldershot and Brentwood. Please book either with Emily Evans or Sally Woods

Ambition Racing         Ambition Racing
Ambition Racing aims to create a full performance pathway with programs for minis through to senior athletes in the private sector, to provide a realistic, full time training option for athletes in education, to provide the British Senior Team with athletes year on year who are capable of achieving at the highest level and to raise the bar both in terms of results from British athletes but also in terms of program structure and delivery within the UK. It's winter base is in Leogang, Austria.
The Facility is available to other sports teams/clubs who are interested in summer or winter training in Austria. There has been quite a lot of interest from various ski teams including some from the southern hemisphere, who want to book again. Team Evolution   Team Evolution
Team Evolution is an alpine performance training group, which works as part of a structured, professional Alpine Academy programme, that aims achieve the highest standard of performance within alpine racing whilst providing educational support and personal development. It supplies unique and flexible annual training programmes to committed athletes, running individual programmes for minis, children and junior racers These are designed to specifically fit the needs of each athlete and are based upon the Team Evolution philosophies, with proven results.
   
Ski Focus   Ski Focus
Ski Focus has a revolutionary approach to ski teaching. It is based on the principle that the key to efficient skiing lies in focusing on the performance of the ski, rather than on the performance of the skier. By concentrating on this aspect all unnecessary, complicated instructions to the mind and body are excluded. Based in the UK, with instructors spending the majority of the year working in Tignes, France, Ski Focus offers a wide selection of skiing options catering from beginners to racers, bumps & off-piste.
   
Impulse Racing   Impulse Racing
Impulse Racing is aimed at athletes, ranging from mini to FIS Masters, who are looking to refine their technical skills in order to boost their competitiveness in the gate. It specifically targets regional racers, who normally ski and race on artificial slopes in this country, to train and race on snow with coaches they know by promoting and supporting the skier’s home club. Typically racers compete for their home club when racing on snow with Impulse Racing as their second club.
2011/12 Winter training will be in Aosta with the Aosta Race Academy. There will be educational support for the trainees.  Training will be in Pila with Phil Brown heading up the coaching team.

Elite Snowsports   Elite Snowsports
From their Austrian base at the family run Hotel Staffler, Elite Snowsports offers an innovative approach to race training – aiming to develop the skier first and racer second – a rounded, happy athlete has the potential to make a great racer! A comprehensive program combines lots of miles – on and off piste, jumps and bumps and through the trees, cross – country, powder, ski mountaineering, snow shoeing, gates, drills, video analysis, technical training and lots more besides! Each and every athlete can expect a very personal and professional approach to their time with Elite Snowsports. All training is tailor made to suite individual requirements.
   
British Ski Academy   The British Ski Academy (BSA)
The British Ski Academy is an educational and ski training base set in the French Alps at Les Houches in the Chamonix valley. It aims to develop self-reliant responsible young ski racers who are professionally coached and educated to their full potential. The BSA is the UK's most successful junior Alpine race training centre. Whilst many young ski racers achieve excellent results by complementing their main club programme with spells at the BSA, many racers train exclusively under the BSA banner.
